Man knifed at food cart, in critical condition at Elmhurst Hospital

A man was stabbed at a Jackson Heights food cart early Thursday morning, and is in critical condition at Elmhurst hospital, according to police.

The 40-year-old victim was eating at a food cart on 92nd Street and Roosevelt Avenue at around 1:30 a.m. on August 10 when a man approached and began to argue with him, according to police.

The man walked away, but soon returned and stabbed the victim three times in the torso, police said. The suspect then fled on foot.

The 40-year-old victim is now in critical condition at Elmhurst Hospital.

The suspect is described as male, Hispanic, and in his 30s, according to police.

No one else was injured at the scene.
