Man stabbed in Corona Thursday night

An emotionally disturbed person stabbed a man in Corona last night, police said.

According to an NYPD spokesman, the assailant attacked the victim at 104 St. near 37th Drive around 8 p.m. The suspect, who police believe to be schizophrenic, stabbed the man twice in the shoulder and once in the neck.

The victim was taken to Elmhurst Hospital and was in stable condition.

The suspect has been described as being in his 30s, heavyset, with a ponytail and was wearing a t-shirt and shorts. He allegedly fled eastbound on a black bike on 38th Ave. towards 105th Street.
