Man jumps to his death off 82nd Street station this morning, police say

A 55-year-old man died this morning after jumping from the subway platform at the 82nd Street station in Jackson Heights this morning.

Several people observed the man jump off the platform a little after 8 am on the Manhattan-bound side of the 82nd Street station on the 7 line, above Roosevelt Avenue.

Officers from the 115th Precinct and NYPD Transit District 20 responded. EMS pronounced the man dead at the scene.
