Four firefighters were injured yesterday while battling a fire in Corona.
The fire broke out on the second floor of an abandoned house at 32-03 Junction Blvd., near 32nd Ave. at 4:11pm, according to the FDNY.
The fire was under brought control by 5:15 p.m. The cause is still under investigation.
Three firefighters suffered minor injuries, while another is in serious, but stable condition at a local hospital.

Thank you to all those brave firefighters! Maybe an issue of concern is that in the afternoon, Northern blvd and 37th ave are heavily congested due to all the double parked vehicles. This can mean slower respond time for the FDNY and EMTs. Hopefully the city council can do something about that will clear up those two roads.
