Man punches 85-year old in the face on 37th Avenue, police release video of suspect

The police have released video of a man who alleged assaulted an 18-year-old female on 37th Avenue Wednesday, before going on to punch an 85-year-old senior in the face.
The suspect allegedly approached the 18-year-old victim in front of 86-12 37th Avenue at 12:50 pm, April 12, and slapped her on the left side of her face with an open hand. The teenager suffered pain and redness to her face but declined medical attention, according to police.
Fifteen minutes later, at 1:05 pm, the suspect approached an 85-year-old man in front of 83-18 37th Avenue and punched him in the left side of his face. The elderly man was taken to Elmhurst Hospital in stable condition.
The suspect fled westbound on 37th Avenue toward 81st Street. He was last seen wearing a blue-and-white checkered shirt and dark pants.
Surveillance video captured the suspect walking westbound on 37th Avenue after the incident.

Three homeless men were arraigned in Queens Criminal Court on Tuesday and variously charged with felony robbery, attempted gang assault, and assault for allegedly stealing the belongings of a 69-year-old homeless man who was asleep on a Manhattan-bound 7 train in Woodside early Sunday morning.

The victim woke up and tried to regain his property. During the ensuing brawl, the victim fatally stabbed a 37-year-old assailant and slashed a second man.
