Man robbed at knifepoint on 84th Street, Police looking for suspect

A knife-wielding robber stole a cellphone from a 25-year-old man on a Jackson Heights street Wednesday before stabbing him in the stomach, according to police.

The suspect approached the victim at around 9:30 pm, March 29, at the corner of 32nd Avenue and 84th Street, police said. The robber then took the cellphone from the victim’s hand and then stabbed him multiple times in the torso with an unknown object. The suspect then fled the scene.

The victim went to Elmhurst Hospital where he was treated and released.

The suspect is described as black, in his early 30s and about 200-230lbs.
