Two men struck by 7 train in Jackson Heights, one left in critical condition

A 7 train struck and injured two men in Jackson Heights last night, leaving one in critical condition, police said.

According to the NYPD, a man who may have been intoxicated fell on to the tracks at the 82nd Street-Roosevelt Avenue station around 9:40 last night. A second man jumped on to the tracks in an attempt to help remove the first man, and an incoming 7 train struck both men.

The two victims were taken to Elmhurst Hospital for treatment, the first man in critical condition and the second man in stable but serious condition with a broken leg.
