Woman who allegedly stole cash from senior while pretending to be health attendant arrested, police say

Blake

March 6, 2017 Staff Report

The police arrested a woman Friday who allegedly stole cash and a debit card from a Jackson Height’s senior citizen while visiting the victim’s home pretending to be a home health attendant.

Vanessa Blake, a 20-year-old Brooklyn resident, visited the victim’s 93rd Street home on February 14, and then riffled through the senior citizen’s purse, stealing $50 and the victim’s debit card, police said. The NYPD did not provide an exact address.

Blake, police say, then went to the bank and several other ATM locations to withdraw over $600 cash, before being rejected due to suspected fraud.

Blake was arrested and charged with grand larceny on Friday.

The senior citizen was not injured.
