Woodside bowling alley undergoes a facelift

Jan. 5, 2017 By Hannah Wulkan

An old Woodside bowling alley is getting a new look.

The former AMF 34th Avenue Lanes bowling alley is undergoing a makeover and will be rebranded as Bowlero Queens later this month.

The bowling alley, located at 69-10 34th Avenue, will be updated to match the more upscale Bowlero brand, which acquired AMF in 2013. The company now operates almost 300 bowling alleys throughout the country.

The updated space will have new arcade games and a new menu, and will launch with a grand opening on January 19.

With 28,000 square feet of floor space, Bowlero will have 35 lanes with black light bowling and video graphics, an arcade, a sports bar and a lounge.

The rebranding includes a brand new “Go Crazy” menu, features specialties such as a five-pound, 14 inch burger called the “Behemoth Burger,” a two-foot hotdog, and desserts like the S’mores Skillet. The sports bar will also serve specialty cocktails.

Following the grand opening, the bowling alley will be open Monday through Thursday from 4 p.m. to 12 a.m., Fridays from 2 p.m. to 2 a.m., Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 2 a.m., and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 12 a.m.
