Two men injured in Elmhurst shooting, police say

Two men in a car were shot following an argument with the driver of another vehicle in Elmhurst this morning, according to police.

The victims got into a dispute with the other driver, who was in an Acura, at around 4:15 am while stopped at a light at 75th Street and Roosevelt Avenue.

The man in the Acura fired into one of the victim’s vehicle. The operator of that vehicle was shot in the leg while the passenger in the ankle.

The victims drove away from the scene and crashed into a parked car by Woodside Avenue and Baxter Avenue, adjacent to Elmhurst Hospital. The two victims then walked into the hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

The suspect fled the scene and no arrests have been made.
