Cops search for man who installed skimmer inside East Elmhurst ATM

Police are searching for a man who installed a skimming device on an ATM in East Elmhurst in order to steal people’s bankcard information earlier this month.

According to police, a man installed the skimming device on an ATM inside the 7-Eleven store at 87-16 Astoria Boulevard on December 7 between 8 a.m. and 1 p.m.

The suspect is described as a white man between 24 and 36 years old and between 5’6 and 5’8.

Police have released photos of the suspect, and anyone with information in regards to this incident is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).
