Queens Museum to hold Winter Holiday Market this Sunday

Get in some last minute holiday shopping while enjoying food from local vendors at the Warming Up Winter Holiday Market at the Queens Museum.

The Queens Museum and the Queens Night Market have joined forces to offer a market full of food and craft goods from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. this coming Sunday, Dec. 18, inside the museum at Flushing Meadows Corona Park.

The market will offer selections from more than 60 local vendors selling handmade gifts and a wide variety of food.

Products will include handmade stationary, jewelry, ceramics, clothing, and more, with something for everyone. For the borough enthusiast, shoppers can pick up some Queens themed merchandise from QNSMADE, or for the tech fanatic, can buy a recycled robot made of vintage materials from Vintage Robot.

Shoppers who work up an appetite will also have an array of prepared to choose from, with some of the most popular vendors from the Night Market in attendance. Many local bakeries will be on the scene to offer some sweet treats, and Broadway Panda Café will offer bubble tea and snow ice.

Man sought for allegedly groping a subway rider while she waited on a platform in Elmhurst: NYPD

Police from the 112th Precinct in Forest Hills and Transit District 20 are looking for a man, who is built like an NFL player, for allegedly groping a 50-year-old woman as she waited for the subway near the Queens Center Mall in Elmhurst on Monday morning.

The victim was standing on the southbound M/R platform at the 59th Avenue subway station on the Queens Boulevard line when a stranger approached her and touched her left buttocks, police said. The brute fled the scene on foot in an unknown direction. The woman was not injured during the incident.
