NYPD: Thieves break into East Elmhurst home, steal credit card and use it at local stores

Two suspects allegedly broke into an East Elmhurst home and then used a stolen credit card to make several purchases, according to police.

Police are searching for a man and a woman in connection to a burglary near 31st Avenue and 74th Street last Thursday.

According to the report, the suspects broke in to the residence by breaking a window around 7:15 a.m. before going on to steal the victim’s laptop, jewelry and credit card.

Later in the day between 3:00 and 3:30 p.m., the suspects used the stolen credit card to purchase merchandise at Mar-Pat Liquors at 31-14 Farrington Street and at the Nike and Target stores at 40-24 College Point Boulevard.

The male suspect is described as a 6-foot-2 black man between 35 and 40 years old, and was last seen wearing a brown baseball cap and black hooded sweater.

The female suspect is described as being around 5-foot-7 and in her 30s with black hair. She was last seen wearing a pink scarf a beige jacket, black sneakers and pink and grey sweatpants.

They were seen driving a late model blue four-door Honda Accord.

Police have released photographs of the suspects and anyone with information in regards to this incident is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).

They report him as a black man(thats obvious,look at the picture), and her as a woman with black hair. Is she white,Hispanic????? What is she

A man was beaten with a hammer and robbed by four strangers inside a restaurant in Flushing on the night of Saturday, Feb. 22, and the suspects remain at large.

The 40-year-old victim entered an unnamed restaurant in the vicinity of Northern Boulevard and Union Street with two 16-year-old boys for a late dinner just before 10 p.m. when four young men walked into the restaurant and ordered the three victims to get on the floor. Acting in concert, the suspects brandished a hammer and smashed the 40-year-old in the head, and removed $1,000 in cash, police said Thursday.

Scooter-riding groper sought in broad daylight assault in Elmhurst: NYPD

The Queens Special Victims Squad is looking for a scooter-riding groper who targeted a 37-year-old woman in Elmhurst in broad daylight on the afternoon of Saturday, March 1.

The victim was walking past a house at 41-47 77th St. at around 1:15 p.m. when the suspect rode up behind the victim and grabbed her rear end, police said Wednesday. The perpetrator sped away from the scene on his red and black scooter northbound on 77th Street before turning left onto Roosevelt Avenue and heading toward Jackson Heights.
