Dig out your best costume, the Halloween spirit is coming to Jackson Heights in full force.
The annual Children’s Halloween Parade will roll through the neighborhood on October 31, beginning at 5 p.m. and stretching down 37th Avenue from 89th Street to 76th Street.
The event begins at 37th Avenue and 89th Street.
For the 26th year running, the Jackson Heights Beautification Group will host hundreds of people from all around the neighborhood, including several school bands, Girl Scout and Brownie troops, several schools, and many other organizations.
Kids will also be able to get a jump-start on their candy collection, with organizers handing out 3,200 treat bags to participating children at the end of the parade.
The parade grand marshals will include Newtown High School Key Club moderator Shara Berkowitz, local resident Gabe Commentucci, IS 230 Band Director Robert Diefenbach and High Flying Puppet Creator formerly of IS 230 Maria Bonilla.
