Queens Blvd Closures to take place August 19-22

Drivers will want to avoid Queens Blvd on the weekend of August 19-22.

The Department of Transportation will be shutting down the main Queens Blvd roadways by the Queens Center Mall that weekend.

The DOT will be closing the six-lane main roadways along Queens Blvd between 57th Ave and 62nd Drive from Friday, August 19th at 11 pm through Monday, August 22nd, at 5 am.

Service roads will remain open. Parking will be restricted in order to free up traffic.

The DOT will hang signs up to remind drivers about the repairs and road closures. The agency advises that drivers use mass transit for that weekend.

The DOT announced that repairs were needed to the Woodhaven Boulevard Bridge over Queens Blvd.
