Woman beaten after man follows her to apartment building

Police are searching for a suspect who followed a 22-year-old woman into her apartment building and attacked her last month.

The suspect followed the victim into her 77th Street building and attacked her in front of her third floor apartment on May 11th at approximately 8:30 pm, according to the NYPD.

The victim was treated for a facial fracture, and swelling to her neck, shoulder, and arm, at a local hospital.

The suspect is described as a dark skinned male, in his 30’s, approximately 5-foot-11, with a disheveled afro hairstyle. He was last seen wearing black baseball hat, a plain white t-shirt, and blue jeans.

Police are asking anyone is asked to call 1-800-577-TIPS.
