Vigil to take place at Diversity Plaza TONIGHT, tribute to the 50 victims of terrorist attack

A number of elected officials are holding a vigil at Jackson Height’s Diversity Plaza tonight to pay tribute to the 50 people shot dead in an apparent terrorist attack at a gay nightclub in Orlando this morning.

Councilman Daniel Dromm along with City Council Speaker Melissa Mark-Viverito and members of the LGBT and Muslim communities will pay respects to the victims, while also denouncing gun violence and intolerance.

The vigil will take place at 7:30 p.m. at Diversity Plaza on 37th Road between 73rd and 74th streets.
