Man severely beaten in possible gang attack in Jackson Heights

A 43-year-old man was severely beaten by several men early Sunday morning in a possible gang attack, according to police.

The fight broke out in front of 81-02 Roosevelt Ave at 2:45 am Sunday morning, following a dispute, police said.

The victim was beat by a group of five or six men, according to police.

The group of men fled the scene after a bystander intervened. However, two of the men returned to continue the assault, according to reports.

The victim was taken to Elmhurst Hospital in critical condition.

The incident is being investigated as possibly gang-related, according to the NYPD.

An investigation is ongoing.
