Police Arrest Man who pushed 15-year-old girl in front of 7 train

The police have arrested a Corona man who allegedly pushed a 15-year-old girl onto the subway tracks on Saturday as a 7 train was approaching the Roosevelt Ave and 103 Street Station.

George Pautt, 38, approached the teenager on the Manhattan-bound platform from behind at 8:40 pm Saturday and pushed her in front of an oncoming 7 train, police said. He has been charged with attempted murder.

The motorman of the train saw the young woman on the train tracks and he activated the emergency brake.

The teenager was able to position herself between the platform and the wheels of the train, police said.  She was taken to Elmhurst hospital via EMS with only minor injuries.

Pautt fled from the mezzanine area of the station toward the street area, police said. He was picked up days later after police released video of the him at the scene.
