Fire Breaks Out At Roosevelt Ave Clothing Store, Two Firefighters Injured

A two-alarm fire broke out at the X-ist Jeans clothing store on Roosevelt Avenue last night.

The blaze erupted at 84-19 Roosevelt Ave., a one-story commercial building, at 8:50 p.m. It quickly spread to a two-alarm fire at 9:06 p.m., according to a FDNY spokesman.

The FDNY had 25 units and 106 firefighters respond, the spokesman said.

The fire was under control at 9:47 p.m.

Two firefighters suffered minor injuries and were transported to Elmhurst General Hospital, where they were treated.

The fire is still under investigation, the spokesman said.
