A large chunk of an Elmhurst building fell onto the street during last night’s storm.

A portion of the Verizon building, located near Broadway and Vietor Ave, fell off and came crashing into the middle of the street, according to a Pix11 report.

The collapse occurred during Wednesday night’s powerful storm.

The broken piece was approximately 20 feet by 60 feet in size and debris fell on surrounding vehicles, with at least three cars being seriously damaged, according to the report.

Pix11 is reporting that no one was injured. Cleanup crews showed up at 7 am.
