Winning Powerball Ticket Worth $1 Million Sold at Liquor Store in Jackson Heights

A winning Powerball ticket worth $1 million was sold at Northern Liquors on Northern Boulevard in Jackson Heights. The draw was held Aug. 31 (GMaps)

The New York Lottery announced earlier this month that a second-prize ticket in a recent Powerball drawing was sold in Jackson Heights.

The ticket, which was purchased at Northern Liquors located at 94-20 Northern Blvd., is worth a guaranteed $1,000,000. The draw was held Aug. 31.

The winning numbers for the Powerball game are drawn from a field of one to 69. The red Power Ball is drawn from a separate field one to of 26. The Powerball drawing is televised every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday at 10:59 p.m.

The New York Lottery continues to be North America’s largest and most profitable Lottery, contributing $3.6 billion in fiscal year 2021-22 to help support education in New York State.
