A Brooklyn man punched and spit on transit officers as they tried to remove him from a Jackson Heights train station after he caused a scene.

Two transit officers witnessed Hector Reyes, 21, screaming loudly and cursing at the Roosevelt Avenue & 74th Street station, on Jan. 29 at roughly 5 p.m., according to police.

The officers approached Reyes and told him to leave the station, but he refused to comply, while continuing to scream and curse. Officers then attempted to escort him out of the station, when Reyes punched one of them in the right side of his face, according to the NYPD.

Reyes swung at the other officer and then pushed him, causing him to fall to the ground. Officers eventually restrained Reyes, who continued to resist, and arrested him.

While he was being escorted to the police car he spit at the officers, striking one in the face, a police spokesperson said.

The officers were removed to Queens General Hospital and treated, according to the NYPD.

Reyes is being charged with felony assault, resisting arrest, obstructing governmental administration and disorderly conduct, the spokesperson said.
