A woman was shot dead outside a house in East Elmhurst Saturday, according to police.

Police responded to a call at around 3:35 p.m. that a woman had been shot in front of 32-17 97th Street. Upon arrival, officers from the 115th Precinct discovered the woman, 37, with gunshot wounds to her abdomen.

She was taken to NYC Health + Hospitals / Elmhurst, where she was pronounced deceased.

The victim has been identified as Josefina Perez De La Rosa, a 37-year-old mother of two.

The killing was one of several shootings to have taken place in Queens during the first two days of 2021.

There was a triple shooting outside the Umbrella Hotel in Kew Gardens on Jan. 1 that left a 20-year-old man dead and two others injured.

There was also a drive-by shooting at Queens Plaza South in Long Island City on Jan. 1, which left two men wounded.

Additionally, a man was shot in the shoulder during a home invasion on 212th Street in Queens Village just before 6 a.m. on Jan. 2.

Jessica Ramos is too busy expressing outrage about some refrigerator vandalism at her 32-37 Junction Blvd office.

Last I heard, she’s a Senator and not the Police. Why don’t you put the blame where it should be, and that’s the lazy cops who work at the 115th precinct, where you call them and unless someone is shot, they won’t show up. I had a break-in in my building a few years ago, and when I called to file a report, they showed up 7 HOURS LATER. Yet, I’ll see them on parked on Northern either yakking on their phones sitting in their cars or setting up speed traps as if the hundreds of cameras around here aren’t enough.

Man sought for allegedly groping a subway rider while she waited on a platform in Elmhurst: NYPD

Police from the 112th Precinct in Forest Hills and Transit District 20 are looking for a man, who is built like an NFL player, for allegedly groping a 50-year-old woman as she waited for the subway near the Queens Center Mall in Elmhurst on Monday morning.

The victim was standing on the southbound M/R platform at the 59th Avenue subway station on the Queens Boulevard line when a stranger approached her and touched her left buttocks, police said. The brute fled the scene on foot in an unknown direction. The woman was not injured during the incident.
