The new Spider-Man movie will be filming on the streets of Sunnyside, Long Island City and Astoria this week.
Film notices have been posted throughout the neighborhoods with filming set take place in Long Island City and Astoria on Oct. 15 and in Sunnyside on Oct. 16.
The film has a working title of “Serenity Now,” a reference to an episode of Seinfeld, according to entertainment news outlets. The phrase was used in the hit series by the character Frank Costanza, who was played by Jerry Stiller.

The previous two Spider-Man movies in the current reboot also used Seinfeld references. Spider-Man: Homecoming, was labeled “Summer of George,” and its sequel, Spider-Man: Far From Home went by the cover of “Fall of George,” which were references to Jason Alexander’s character George Costanza.
The title of the latest Spider-Man installment has yet to be released and story details are being kept under a web of secrecy.
However, Tom Holland will return as Forest Hills native Peter Parker who turns into the web-slinging super-hero.
Jamie Foxx is believed to be reprising his role as the villain Electro, which he played in the Amazing Spider-Man 2, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
The notices have gone up along 46th Avenue between 5th Street and 11th Street in Long Island City and on 23rd Avenue in Astoria between 31st and 33rd streets.
The notices are instructing residents not to park along those roadways on Oct. 15 from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Filming will take place in Sunnyside on Friday, along Greenpoint Avenue between 45th Street and Queens Boulevard. The production crews will also be filming on adjacent streets on the south side of Queens Boulevard.
The notices are instructing residents not to park along those roadways on Oct. 15 from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m.
This will not be the first time Queens has played host to a Spider-Man movie set. The production crew of Spider-Man: Homecoming did a lot of filming on the northern side of Queens Boulevard in 2016.
Several scenes were also shot in the former Dime Bank on the north west corner of Queens Blvd and 43rd Street.
The new Spider-Man movie is slated for a December 2021 release.

They are filming it too in Greenpoint on Manhattan Ave. The signs just went up.
A few yrs ago, since Greenpoint has become Hollywood west with studios, they were filming three to four films every day outside and was becoming a nightmare re traffic, no parking, dirt etc. In the beginning it was exciting and it quickly turned to anger. I hope they don’t go back to that.
It always amazed me how with high tech digital miracle camera work why they had to go back to the same street over and over again for the same movie/TV show year after year.
