Thief Threatens to Cut Woman at Northern Boulevard Station, Makes Off With Purse: NYPD

(NYPD and Wikipedia)

June 19, 2020 By Michael Dorgan

Police are searching for a suspect who robbed a woman inside the M/R Northern Boulevard station last week.

The 29-year-old victim was standing on the mezzanine area on June 8, at around 5:50 p.m., when the man approached her, police said.

He threatened to cut the woman if she did not hand over her purse, according to police.

The suspect then grabbed the woman’s purse – that contained credit cards and some personal items – and fled the scene in an unknown direction, police said.

The women sustained a minor injury and refused medical attention, police said.

Police have released video footage of the man wanted for questioning.

Anyone with information in regard to the identity of this male is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782). The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime Stoppers website at WWW.NYPDCRIMESTOPPERS.COM, or on Twitter @NYPDTips.

DeBlasio city ?

The police will take longer to respond to calls, there won’t be any arrest made. This is what happened when the community they serve don’t support the NYPD. Crime is sure to go up , but thats what DeBlasio wants.
