17-Year-Old Pedestrian Killed in Hit-and-Run on Northern Blvd.

A 17-year-old pedestrian was struck and killed by a hit-and-run driver Tuesday night while attempting to cross Northern Blvd., by Junction Blvd.

A black Toyota Camry plowed into 17-year-old Jaremello Ovidio, from East Elmhurst, at the intersection of Northern Blvd and Junction Blvd at around 10:50 pm,  according to the NYPD.

The Camry was traveling westbound on Northern Blvd, when it hit Ovidio, police said.  The driver did not stop and the vehicle continued traveling westbound on Northern Blvd.

EMS transported Ovidio to Elmhurst Hospital where he was pronounced deceased.

The NYPD Collision Investigation Squad is investigating.

Ovidio lived on 95th Street.
