Foodies are going have to wait as a number of food tasting events are being put on hold.

The Queens Taste 2020, the popular annual food-and-networking event, is being postponed from May 5 to Oct. 6. Meanwhile, the Taste of Sunnyside that was also scheduled for May will take place sometime in the fall.

“The virus is hitting local businesses hard, but the borough is going to bounce back with force,” Queens Tourism Council Director Rob MacKay said.

Queens Taste has been an annual event since 2001. Last year, an estimated 600 people attended to sample cuisine from countries such as China, Colombia, Guyana, Haiti, India, Italy, Malaysia, Mexico, Thailand, Trinidad, and the Philippines.

The Queens Taste is scheduled to take place at the New York Hall of Science in Flushing Meadows Corona Park. Details on the Sunnyside event have yet to be announced.

Man sought for allegedly groping a subway rider while she waited on a platform in Elmhurst: NYPD

Police from the 112th Precinct in Forest Hills and Transit District 20 are looking for a man, who is built like an NFL player, for allegedly groping a 50-year-old woman as she waited for the subway near the Queens Center Mall in Elmhurst on Monday morning.

The victim was standing on the southbound M/R platform at the 59th Avenue subway station on the Queens Boulevard line when a stranger approached her and touched her left buttocks, police said. The brute fled the scene on foot in an unknown direction. The woman was not injured during the incident.
