$53K Winning Lotto Ticket Sold at Elmhurst Deli

An Elmhurst deli sold a winning Take 5 ticket worth more than $53,000 on Sunday.

M & B Candy Grocery Store, located at 89-45 Elmhurst Ave., sold the lucky lottery ticket that grabbed the top prize of $53,258.50. The winner has a year to come forward and accept the prize money.

An even luckier ticket was sold at a Long Island City grocery store earlier this month.

Food Bazaar, located at 42-02 Northern Blvd., sold a winning Powerball ticket worth $2 million on Feb. 5.

It came days after two other winning lottery tickets were sold at Queens stores.

A winning Take 5 ticket worth almost $60,000 was sold at an Astoria Stop-N-Go, located 22-55 31st St., on Jan. 30. Another Take 5 ticket, worth nearly $65,000, was sold at Flor Azteca Deli & Grocery—located at 48-12 104th St.—in Corona on Feb. 1.
