Man Tried to Kidnap Baby in Stroller from Mother in Corona: NYPD

The police are trying to locate a man who allegedly tried to kidnap a baby in a stroller from a mother in Corona last week.

A 29-year-old woman was pushing her 10-month-old child in a stroller near 43rd Avenue and 111st Street on Nov. 21 when an unknown man approached her at 8:35 p.m. The man placed his hand on the stroller and demanded the mother give him her child, police said.

When she refused and resisted his efforts, the man ran off, cops said.

The NYPD is trying to locate the suspect. He is described as a Hispanic man in his 20s, approximately 5 feet 5 inches tall, with brown eyes, black hair and a thin build. He was last seen wearing a green hooded sweatshirt, dark colored pants and red sneakers, police said.

Masked gunman robs Total Wireless store in Flushing, steals $6K: NYPD

Police from the 109th Precinct in Flushing are looking for a masked gunman who pulled off an armed robbery at a cell phone store on the night of Monday, May 5.

The suspect entered the Total Wireless shop located in the old Hua Cheng Restaurant at 41-19 Kissena Blvd., across the street from the Queens Public Library branch, just before 7 p.m. He approached the counter, pulled out a firearm, and threatened the 27-year-old woman who was working the night shift, police said Wednesday.
