Man Charged With Murder for Stabbing Victim at Corona Christening Party: Report

Police have arrested a man in connection with a fatal stabbing that took place outside a baby’s christening party in Corona last month.

Antonio Martinez, 47, from Corona, fatally stabbed Roque Alvarez-Montes, 22, multiple times in the chin, back and left arm, according to police.

The incident took place at around 12:40 a.m. on Sunday, Sept. 29 in the vicinity of 37th Avenue and 97th Street.

The stabbing occurred after a fight broke out at the christening, according to the New York Daily News.

Martinez has been charged with second-degree murder and criminal possession of a weapon.
