A new shop for glasses and eye care will open in Jackson Heights tomorrow.

Visionworks will open at 37-52 82nd St., in the location previously occupied by Radio Shack.

The shop will offer full service optical care with Doctors of optometry, opticians and sales associates. Visionworks stores also carry about 2,000 different frames for men, women and children.

The shop is offering a buy one, get one free promotion this month.

The Jackson Heights location is opening as part of the company’s movement to provide more shops throughout the five boroughs.

Visionworks has had a large store presence in Long Island and upstate New York, but only a handful of shops in Queens and none in the other boroughs, according to a company spokeswoman. She added that Visionworks aims to open new stores in areas served by its sister company, Davis Vision.

The company hopes to open five more stores in Queens, including this one, as well as two stores in the Bronx, four in Brooklyn and two in Westchester.

“We look to open stores where the members live and there are lots of members in the boroughs,” the spokeswoman said.
