Man Beaten and Robbed in North Corona: NYPD

Police are looking for a suspect who assaulted a man and stole $300 from him outside a North Corona apartment building last month.

The robbery took place at about 2 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 29 outside 108-23 39th Ave., according to the NYPD.

The victim, a 39-year-old man, was walking down the residential street when the unidentified suspect approached him from behind and placed him in a choke hold. The victim fell to the ground, while the suspect proceeded to punch the man several times before stealing his wallet which contained about $300 cash.

The suspect fled on foot in an unknown direction, while the victim later refused medical attention.

Police describe the suspect as tall and black, with a medium build. He was last seen wearing all dark clothing.

Did you spill your coffee tripping over one of the countless homeless people laying around the city? Or running from some gang banger shooting at a rival at 2:00 in the afternoon? Or from one of the ATV gangs rampaging thru red lights and on sidewalks? If not one of those, or something similar to those, then you probably shouldn’t blame De Blasio for spilling your coffee.

Man sought for allegedly groping a subway rider while she waited on a platform in Elmhurst: NYPD

Police from the 112th Precinct in Forest Hills and Transit District 20 are looking for a man, who is built like an NFL player, for allegedly groping a 50-year-old woman as she waited for the subway near the Queens Center Mall in Elmhurst on Monday morning.

The victim was standing on the southbound M/R platform at the 59th Avenue subway station on the Queens Boulevard line when a stranger approached her and touched her left buttocks, police said. The brute fled the scene on foot in an unknown direction. The woman was not injured during the incident.
