Man Steals $1,400 in Jackson Heights Armed Robbery

Police are looking for a man who stole $1,400 during an armed robbery at a grocery store in Jackson Heights last week.

The robbery took place at around 8:50 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 26 in Sweety Grocery Store at 86-18 37th Ave., according to the NYPD.

The suspect approached a 47-year-old male cashier with a gun and demanded money from the register. The cashier complied and the man made off with approximately $1,400 in cash and fled in an unknown direction.

The robbery was recorded on the shop’s CCTV and the man was observed to be a white male with short black hair. He was last seen wearing a black jumper and gray shorts. He used a black mask to partially cover his face.

If they go after the drug dealers that are active in and around that area they will get this guy. They are one in the same.

Aside from your comment being racist; being “a white dude” does not preclude the possiblity that he is “from the projects”, an illegal alien nor a welfare recipient.

I’m glad nobody was hurt but he’s a real tough guy – wears socks with sandals. He’ll be caught and hopefully not out on bail soon after.

Man in his 50s sought for exposing himself to 13-year-old on E train in Forest Hills: NYPD

Police from the 112th Precinct in Forest Hills and Transit District 20 are looking for a suspect who allegedly flashed a 13-year-old girl on a Queens subway train last month.

The victim was riding a southbound E train approaching the Kew Gardens-Union Turnpike station at around 1 p.m. on Monday, June 30, when she saw a stranger exposing himself to her, police said Wednesday. The perpetrator ran off the train at the Kew Gardens-Union Turnpike station and fled in an unknown direction. The youngster was not injured during her encounter with the stranger.
