Man dead after falling on subway tracks at Junction Blvd/Roosevelt station

A 26-year-old man died after being struck by a train at the Junction Blvd and Roosevelt Avenue station early Saturday morning.

Alejandro Serrano-Ortega, a Queens resident, fell on the tracks at approximately 1:10 am, according to the NYPD. His body was recovered by police on the tracks.

Police said Serrano-Ortega had suffered severe body trauma.

The incident did not appear to be suspicious, an NYPD spokeswoman said.

However, an investigation is still ongoing. The medical examiner will determine the exact cause of death, police said.
