7 Train to Shutdown at 4:00 PM for Winter Storm Jonas

The New York City Transit Authority and the MTA jointly announced that all above ground and elevated subway lines, including the 7 line, will begin shutting down at 4:00 pm today, with limited underground trains running. In addition, all non-emergency vehicles are ordered to remain off the roads beginning at 2:30 pm.

Mayor de Blasio said in a separate statement that the city now believes it will receive between 20–25 inches of snow today, citing the National Weather Service which estimated that 1-3 inches of snow will fall per hour until as late as 10:00 pm.
